Our initial curiosity about the market opportunities in biofuels led us to conduct a thorough analysis of the supply chain, revealing a significant potential for Pakistan to contribute to the global biofuel landscape, particularly in the areas of biodiesel and biogas.

We have secured exclusive agency agreements to export biodiesel, particularly Fatty Acid Methyl Ester (FAME) and Used Cooking Oil Methyl Ester (UCOME), from leading production facilities in Pakistan. These facilities, originally catering only to the local market, now meet international standards thanks to our efforts in achieving ISCC (International Sustainability and Carbon Certification) for them. This certification underscores the importance of traceability and sustainability in our operations.
The global biodiesel market is poised for significant growth, projected to reach USD 44.6 billion by 2025, growing at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 3.5% from 2020. Biogas
Recognizing the significant greenhouse gas (GHG) savings achievable through biogas, our organization has strategically incorporated molasses into our product offerings. Molasses, a byproduct of sugarcane processing, is a key component in biogas production, offering a sustainable and efficient way to generate energy.
Pakistan is among the top five sugarcane producers globally, with an annual production exceeding 75 million tons. This abundant sugarcane production results in a substantial volume of molasses, much of which has traditionally been under-utilized. By harnessing this resource, Apollo Commodities is contributing to a sustainable energy future.
The use of molasses for biogas not only aligns with global efforts to reduce carbon emissions but also adds value to Pakistan’s agricultural byproducts. Feedstock
At Apollo Commodities, we are dedicated to sourcing and supplying high-quality feedstocks essential for biodiesel production, including animal fats and used cooking oil. Our network spans across numerous poultry farms which provide animal fats, and a wide range of hospitality establishments such as restaurants, hotels, food chains, and industry cafeterias for sourcing used cooking oil. This network plays a crucial role in any biodiesel supply chain, ensuring a consistent and reliable source of essential materials.
Pakistan’s biodiesel feedstock market is poised for growth, with the country producing over 500,000 tons of animal fats annually, primarily from poultry sources. Additionally, the burgeoning food service industry in urban centres generates significant quantities of used cooking oil, much of which has traditionally been under-utilized or disposed of improperly. In response to the significant volume of edible oils consumed in Pakistan—approximately 3,622 kilotons annually—we are committed to harnessing this potential efficiently.
Recognizing the potential for environmental impact and economic benefit, we are actively working to establish a dedicated used cooking oil processing facility. This facility aims to export excess volumes from the local market, thereby curbing the misuse of these oils in black market activities and enhancing social welfare through more sustainable practices.
